Born and raised in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, Nisson
Goldman spent his undergraduate years at the University
of Saskatchewan. He was soon drawn to attend law school
at the University of British Columbia. After
graduation, he had the privilege of articling with the
late Bruce Boyd and the Honourable Thomas Dohm.
Nisson Goldman has now been practicing law for 50 years
with his current business address in the heart of
Vancouver. His strength comes from old school training
and an attitude which has led him to develop a well
rounded knowledge of many areas of law and the special
talent to see the “big picture”. These combined skills
and talents enable him to fully analyze a legal problem.
As a young lawyer Nisson patiently honed his skills in
the Courts of British Columbia. Eventually, Nisson
found his preference in solicitor’s work. His passion
finally turned to specific areas of business and
personal law. These include corporate organization,
contracts, commercial real estate, estate planning,
wills and estates and trusts as foundations of his
practice.
Nisson prides himself on his personal attention to each
client and his/her particular needs and his constant
study of new trends and developments in his chosen
fields. In today’s fast-paced and rapidly changing
marketplace it is reassuring to have the combination of
Nisson’s wisdom, experience and extensive library of new
knowledge. Recognizing that today the complexity of law
has increased so the need for “experts” in particular
fields can often be the answer, Nisson has developed
many valued connections with others in a variety of
professions, which naturally includes law. In effect,
what each client can expect is the full value of a
hands-on senior lawyer combined with a team of
specialists exactly when needed.
Nisson has also been very active in politics as past
chairman of the Point Gray Liberal Association, and in
the community as the past chairman of the Canadian
Jewish Congress, Pacific Region.
Nisson is married to Evelyn who along with Nisson is
passionate about boating. Together, they are the proud
owner/operators of the MV Wakala, a Monk MacQueen motor
yacht which they have painstakingly and beautifully
restored. You may often find them on the “Boat” in
various parts of coastal British Columbia.

For the
past 6 years, Erika Pharaon has been Mr. Goldman’s able
and trusted Legal Assistant. Erika, a native
Vancouverite, has 19 years of training and experience in
British Columbia law. Having gained her experience in a
variety of legal settings, including large national law
firms and publicly traded companies, Erika brings a
unique perspective to the table. You can count on her
expertise in the areas of corporate, commercial,
commercial conveyance as well as probate and estate
administration. Erika also supervises the corporate
records for some 250 private companies! Erika’s
superior organizational skills and her strict attention
to detail ensure that each client transaction is handled
with speed, security and efficiency.
When not
hard at work, Erika enjoys kayaking the local waterways
in the summer and snowboarding the local mountains in
the winter with her family.
